The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.

The apartment was exactly as advertised and we were very pleased. Spacious accommodations only one easy flight up from the street. The windows opened up onto the very busy Rue Beaubourg which we appreciated. Though it could be noisy, when the windows were closed it was quiet. We especially appreciate the spacious living room and dining room areas with very comfortable seating. The bedroom, though on the smaller side, had a very comfortable bed with plenty of linens, pillows & closet space. Good size bathroom with step in shower was a plus. The kitchen was small but included a clothes washer & dishwasher along with sufficient pots, pans, dishes, flatware & glasses and a good size refrigerator & freezer. Beau de Beaubourg was a delightful haven in a bustling neighborhood. Right outside the door are bistros, cafes, convenience stores, boulangeries, charcuteries and everything that Paris has to offer. The apartment is an easy walk to the heart of the Marais, Notre Dame, & the Louvre. If we returned to Paris, we would return to this apartment.
