This apartment near des Halles benefits from an excellent North-South exposure and a great luminosity. It is decorated in a refined style that favors white and wood tones, for a general impression of clarity and contemporary elegance.

The entrance is through a small hall that gives into the living room. On the south part, there is a corner kitchen equipped with a kitchen top in natural wood that with its warm tones contrast pleasantly with the white of the storages and the walls.

On the north part, a lounge-dining area promotes conviviality, with a comfortable sofa and wooden armchair, and a glass table that adds to the brightness of the room. Some tastefully chosen objects bring color and liveliness, like a Balinese "topeng” mask and a representation of Tibetan Buddhist divinity that compliments the soothing watercolor above the sofa.

This first room gives into a corridor that separates it from the sleeping spaces. From the corridor one reaches a first room on the left, the bathroom opposite and a second room on the right.

On the left, the first room facing south is a haven of peace that invites to a calm rest with its light tones and wooding, in harmony with other rooms. There we find oriental Zen decorations along with a Chinese-inspired chest of drawers, and paper lamps that spread a soft light.

The bathroom offers a relaxing simplicity: the clean straight lines of the white tile decorated with other small swimming pool tiles echo in a white rectangular basin resting on its wooden furniture, and a large bathtub.

In the second room, a 40s radio set and a metal furniture recalling industrial services give a retro accent to the room, while unusual aquatic vignettes, seahorses and lobster, bring a touch of lightness to this space bathed in clarity.

The "Halles de Paris", immortalized by Émile Zola in Le Ventre de Paris, were until 1970 the wholesale market for food products. This market has since been moved to Rungis, but "Les Halles" has remained one of the hotspots of the capital. Its past is still reflected by the abundance of food shops and historic restaurants in the neighborhood.

This apartment close des Halles is in the heart of the city, a few steps away from an abundance of shops and restaurants: Rue de Rivoli is very close, as well as this shopping temple that is the Forum des Halles. Re-opened since 2016 following construction carried out by the architect Patrick Berger, and now capped by his "canopy" made of metal and glass, it remains faithful to the original commercial vocation of the district. There are no less than 150 brands, from the most international to the most exclusive, such as the intimate ZA Café, a literary and urban café that offers light and original cuisine inspired by current trends (sandwiches, salmon chirashi, seed pudding chia).

In the neighboring streets, we find the culinary “savoir-faire” of the Parisians: they are inspired by the best of a century-old gastronomic heritage while knowing how to innovate. This is the case of the contemporary brasserie Champeaux, supervised by Alain Ducasse: the old industrial structure that houses the restaurant has been entrusted to a group of designers who have dressed it in noble materials and haute couture finishes. The other address, in a more popular spirit, is the local Chez Gladines restaurant: its cuisine makes the most of South-West products, goat's cheese and duck gizzards, for a convivial and hearty meal in all simplicity.

For lovers of the aromas of a quality coffee, and for original ice-creams with seasonal flavors, you can stop at OroNero Gelati, 6 rue Sainte Opportune.
