Marienplatz

As suggested above, go to Marienplatz to admire the 500 year old the Fischbrunnen, a "little fish fountain" where Munich's residents love to meet. You can't miss the new neo-gothic town hall with 43 bells and 32 mechanical figures that move to the music of the bells. You can reach this famous landmark in 15 minutes.

Nymphenburg Palace

The imposing complex includes several important art collections. With its most impressive interior and the famous "Gallery of Beauty" of King Ludwig I, the castle is one of the most visited monuments in Munich. 

The Botanical Garden, located on the north side of the park, is one of the most beautiful in Europe. The park with its majestic trees, numerous waterways and hidden pavilions is the ideal place to relax for an afternoon. Each of the four pavilions is a real enchantment.

The English Garden in Munich

Covering more than 400 hectares, the Englischer Garten (English Garden) is the green lung of Munich. Conceived in 1789, it is one of the largest urban parks in the world. There are 78 km of paths among many gardens. The park has original buildings such as a 35-meter high Chinese pagoda and a small temple in Greek style. An artificial canal crosses it and ita popular spot for surfers who enjoy its waves in all seasons. Tourists and locals alike like to socialize with a beer in one of the typical open-air breweries. 

Attend the Oktoberfest

As the name suggests, the beer festival takes place from the end of September to the beginning of October. It is the biggest event of the city which welcomes more than 6 million visitors. Mugs of beer and local culinary specialties are enjoyed in large tents from the 6 Munich breweries. The inaugural parade, the opening of the first barrel, traditional costumes, music and more than two hundred attractions make these 18 days a great festival recognized throughout the world.  You can get to this famous festival 18 minutes on foot from the apartment.

The apartment is also close to numerous buses.  The closest bus stop is only a 5 minute walk away.

You can reach the city's most important sights in just a few minutes. You can get to Marienplatz, Munich's central square, in only 15 minutes by public transportation or 25 minutes on foot, whichever you prefer. 

This proximity to the train station ensures that you can get around Munich by public transportation easily. The station is connected to the subway network, U-Bahn (lines U1, U2, U4, U5, U7 and U8) and the Munich express train network, S-Bahn (lines S1, S2, S3, S4, S6, S7 and S8).
