The Vieux-Lille

Wander through the pedestrian streets and historic squares of Lille's most charming district. Marked by buildings dating from before the 17th century and Brabantine style houses, the Old Town transports you to a romantic and charming atmosphere.

The Grand’Place

Born in the Middle Ages, this square, also known as General de Gaulle's Square, with its typical northern French architecture, is one of the most lively places in the city. Bordered by numerous shops, restaurants and bookshops, it hosts many events such as the Christmas market during which the Ferris wheel takes the central stage.

The Vieille Bourse

Take advantage of being on the Grand'Place to admire one of Lille's most beautiful monuments. With its Flemish Renaissance architectural style and colorful façade, the Vieille Bourse is a listed monument. Don't hesitate to enter the inner courtyard where booksellers, florists, chess players, strollers and tourists are now meeting up.

Palace of Fine Arts of Lille

Housed in a magnificent 19th century building, it is one of the richest museums in France. It presents prestigious collections of European paintings (Rubens, Goya, Delacroix...), sculptures (Rodin, Claudel, Carpeaux...), ceramics, drawings (including 40 sheets by Raphael) as well as models of some fifteen towns fortified by Vauban in northern France and Belgium.

The Beffroi

Climb to the top of the belfry of the Town Hall and enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire city. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, thus affirming for the time the political and commercial power of the regional capital.

The Grande Braderie of Lille

Come and see the craziest annual event in town! Over a weekend, this street sale welcomes more than 10,000 vendors on 100 km of stalls. A half marathon precedes the festivities, and during the two days of festivities, more than 500 tonnes of mussels and 30 tonnes of chips are consumed. Tradition has it that the restaurateurs store the mussel shells on the pavements, forming mounds that often reach several meters in height.

The Mania Series Festival

This international festival entirely dedicated to television series from all over the world brings together no less than 70,000 visitors each year. This festival showcases previews of the best series from around the world and sees the greatest scriptwriters, directors and actors on stage.
